Money equals power. Why not hold onto yours?

I wish that instead of giving billions to banks and auto companies, who have proven they can't handle the money they already have, they would p it out directly to the taxpayers. Let US decide what we want to spend it on. It's our money anyway. I think that would be a great way to boost the economy!
