Tips on taking a baby to the beach?

So Sometime in Aug My husband, Myself and our 8 month old will be going to visit some family that happen to live on the beach. which is great for us but not as fun for our baby. What are some tips you can give me to keep My daughter cool and out of the sun. I was thinking, lots of sunscreen,umbrella, and sun hat, But thats as far as i Got...lol Any thing that are MUST haves that I should take with us?
