Would it be okay to try and pull a adult tooth that hurts?

Well theres an adult tooth in the back of my mouth, which is the second toth to the end, and its been giving me too aches and i cant deal with it anymore! I cant get to sleep and ive tried all kinds of medicines and tooth ache relievers. I cant go to the dentist for like 2 days so im wondering if its a good idea to try and pull the tooth out.
