Huckleberry Finn-Morals...?

Huck's moral values clearly come from his own experiences. As Huck and Jim make their way down the river, everybody they run into is a poor example of humanity. Huck's been brought up to think of himself and Jim as the dregs of society, though, so he's continually puzzled at the behaviors of his "betters". Huck's ultimate moral decision is helping Jim to freedom, for which Huck believes he'll go to hell. Yet he chooses to help Jim anyway because his own internal moral comp tells him that he should.
